Dr. Xiran Cai received his Ph.D. from Sorbonne Université, Paris, France, in 2018, under the direction of Pascal Laugier and Quentin Grimal. From 2018 to 2020, he was in Ferrara Lab at Stanford University for his postdoctoral research training under the direction of Katherine W. Ferrara (Member of the National Academy of Engineering). He was awarded the best oral talk at the IBDW (2017) and a recipient of the traveling award of IUS (2017). He is currently an Assistant Professor in the School of Information Science and Technology of ShanghaiTech University.

His research interests include ultrasound image reconstruction, multi-parametric and mutimodal imaging, deep learning, ultrasound therapy and instrumentation for medical diagnosis and therapy.
